HKOA Encumbrance Fee Request Form

To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Hotchkiss Owners Association (HKOA) annual fees.

The Developer has registered an Encumbrance on the title of all residential lots to secure fee payment to the HKOA. In any given year, the HKOA may choose to charge an amount other than that provided for in the Encumbrances, subject to the limitations in the HKOA Bylaws.

The fiscal year for the HKOA is April 1 to March 31. Current annual HKOA fees are $195.00 + GST ($204.75 total). Upon closing of the initial real estate purchase, the Encumbrance fee amount is pro-rated from the possession date until March 31 and is payable by the buyer in advance of possession in one lump sum. Subsequent Encumbrance fees must be paid on an annual basis. If you are a lawyer remitting pro-rated fee payment to the HKOA on behalf of your client, this amount is payable by cheque only. If you are a resident remitting pro-rated fee payment directly to the HKOA, please email us at admin@hotchkissoa.com for available payment methods.

Fees are levied and payable April 1 each year. Interest charges begin accumulating as of April 1 on fees not paid on or before April 30 of each calendar year, at a rate of 18% per annum. In March of each year, residents will be emailed their fee notice unless the HKOA does not have their email address on file. Fees must be paid in one lump sum using the instructions provided by the HKOA.
